A state where communities and people are self reliant, resourceful and healthy due to alleviation of poverty, improvement of livelihood and good hygienic behaviour; supported by safe and adequate water supply and sanitation services.

COSI’s mission is to work with other like-minded organisations – in the WESH sector and beyond – to help communities organise themselves and build the capacity to improve their own livelihoods through a sustainable development process – “Community Self-Improvement and Empowerment”.
